Post Jimmy Uso’s DUI arrest WWE is possibly taking action against Uso.

On Monday evening Jimmy Uso was driving and was seen by police running a right light and going 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. When pulled over he failed a field sobriety test. He blew a .205 which is well above the .08 legal limit in Florida.

Tuesday morning Jimmy Uso bonded out paying the $500 bail. According to WrestleVotes WWE was extremely upset with Uso saying:

“I’ve spoken to two sources this morning on the Jimmy Uso news. I can say with certainty that a few ‘high level people in power’ are extremely disappointed & legitimately pissed off over the arrest. This many times isn’t a mistake or bad luck. It’s personal judgment. Not good,” WrestleVotes said.

Not The First Alcohol Involved Incident

This is not the first time Jimmy Uso has had a DUI arrest or a run-in with police officers while alcohol was involved.

In 2019 Uso was arrested for a DUI charge also in Pensacola, Florida. However, he was later found not guilty of that charge. Also in 2019 Uso had a drunken run-in with police in Detroit, Michigan. Allegedly Uso had become physically combative with the police officers after they were trying to administer a simple traffic stop. It should be noted Jimmy Uso was in the passenger seat with his wife, fellow WWE Superstar Naomi, driving the vehicle.

The “this many times isn’t a mistake or bad luck. It’s personal judgment” seems to be a pretty accurate statement. Three high profile incidents since 2019 all involving alcohol, even though in the previous DUI he was found not guilty, is not good. Jimmy Uso should seek treatment for alcoholism because it seems like he has a problem.

No Repercussions As Of Yet

Maybe WWE will force treatment on him. According to Dave Meltzer Uso hasn’t received any fallout from WWE as of yet nor have they made a statement on the arrest. However, according to Meltzer “…decisions, whatever they may be, will be made soon.”

It should also be noted that just because WWE hasn’t addressed this situation doesn’t mean they won’t. On Tuesday they were more worried about taping RAW and won’t have to make any real decisions until Friday evening when SmackDown airs.

It’s also too early to see any legal repercussions following the arrest. No court date has been scheduled as the courts were closed down on Monday due to the Independence Day holiday and were therefore a day behind on all paperwork Tuesday morning when they reopened.  It is expected that Uso’s court information will be in the system by the end of the week.

This may complicate storylines at WWE. Uso is involved in a storyline with current Universal Champion Roman Reigns.  He may be removed from that storyline or removed from WWE TV for a while. This could even cause him to be released by WWE as they have been releasing people like crazy as of late. Uso is most known as a tag team guy winning multiple tag championships with his brother, Jey Uso. Jey may have to go solo from here on out. At the very least I doubt Jimmy will be on SmackDown this week.

Do you think Jimmy Uso should be released?  Should WWE force him into treatment? Do you think Jey can have a successful singles run in WWE without his brother? Hopefully he can get a handle on what challenges he may be facing and seek help if he needs it.
