The Twilight Zone is about to introduce a major pop star, and it just might be Rihanna.
The show has awed audiences since 1959, when it first aired. It was created by Rod Sterling, who also served as the host or narrator. The show was a mix of science fiction and suspense and dealt with common tropes of the genres. The show originally ran for five years and had a cult following that led to a Disney parks attraction called Tower of Terror, where eagle-eyed fans could find easter eggs from the show in the ride’s queue.
There have been multiple reboots of the show in the past, the most recent one having run from 2002 to 2003. The franchise itself has proved to be a popular one, so it wasn’t a surprise when CBS decided to reboot the series for a modern audience.
In 2019, the newest version of The Twilight Zone with host Jordan Peele (who has garnered much respect for his directorial work in Us and Get Out) aired to generally positive reviews. The new revival captures the spirit of the original series, while bringing in the perspective of the newer generation. And to help catch the attention of the younger audiences, the new Twilight Zone also brings in plenty of guest stars throughout the course of the season.
Season One saw the likes of John Cho (Searching, Star Trek), Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick, and the upcoming The Eternals), Steven Yeun (The Walking Dead, Burning), Tracy Morgan (The Last O.G., 30 Rock) , and Ginnifer Goodwin (Once Upon a Time, Why Women Kill) to name just a few.

New Exciting Guests for The Twilight Zone
The show was renewed for a second season on April 29, 2020 and, though there’s still a while before the second season airs, we know that there’s already a few guest stars lined up that’ll have fans excited as they wait for the new slate of episodes. Joel McHale (Community, The Joel McHale Show), Billy Porter (Pose, and Broadway’s Kinky Boots), and Tony Hale (Veep, Toy Story 4) among others have all been confirmed to appear in the second season.
There haven’t been a whole lot of other details about the new season, but we do have confirmation of a big name that many people will be excited to hear about. Ladies and Gentleman, Rihanna has been offered a part in one of the episodes in the upcoming season.
The part calls for a young female pop star, preferably of color, which Rihanna would certainly fit the part of. There is no confirmation yet as to whether she accepted the part, but the offer has been made and now all we can do is wait and hope for the best. If you want to catch up on the first season, The Twilight Zone is available on CBS All Access.
