The developers – Dotemu, Guard Crush, and Lizardcube – brought new life to the franchise by crafting this fantastic game, and many fans are praising their talents.
Streets Of Rage Opens More Gaming Doors
It’s not their first rodeo bring new life to an old franchise, as they also did a fantastic job with Saga’s own Wonder Boy III: The Dragon’s Trap. Both games were given top-notching ratings from the gaming community.
The three developers recently took to the world’s most accessible communication tool, Reddit, to talk with the fans in an Ask Me Anything. During that back-and-forth discussion, they answered several questions from players and would-be fans. In fact, they even shared what was coming up on their docket.
One question came from a Reddit user who asked if Streets Of Rage 4 was a one-hit-wonder or if they coming out with sequences and expansion titles. Dotemu’s Cyrille Imbert explained they hadn’t had any discussions on what they’re going to do, but he did mention they were planning to expand with some new content for all the fans.
That wasn’t even the most exciting part of the conversation. The most exciting part was when Imbert let out that Dotemu was working on three unannounced similar projects, and that they want everyone to stay connected with them via social media for future announcements.
Now, Imbert didn’t give out any more details of the three unannounced projects. We’re not sure if they’re going to bring back other series, the way that they did with Wonder Boy and Streets of Rage, or if they’re doing to delve into another beat ’em up series. They just might give us an intellectual property that we haven’t seen before and spit out something brand new.
Dotemu, Guard Crush, and Lizardcube are aiming for greatest with the exciting news, and we here at The Illuminerdi can’t wait for them to reveal those three unannounced projects. Are you excited as well? Let us know in the comments below.
