Could Hasbro Have Adapted Zenkaiger In The States?

The announcement of Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger has left fans divided with its seemingly drastic change to 4 out of the five heroes’ suit designs. This season shows the heroes with a heavy robot motif that we haven’t yet seen with the main heroes in a Sentai season.

For those who don’t know quite a few months back, we released a story reporting that Hasbro and Toei and ceased their partnership and that they would not continue to adapt Sentai seasons here in the states.

This has raised the question of if Hasbro was even still adapted Sentai season after Dino Fury could this season even be adapted in the states with the wacky robot motif?

While I think it would have been unlikely I don’t fully believe that Zenkaiger would have been as unadaptable here in the states as people are making it out to be.

While sure Power Rangers/Super Sentai hasn’t really seen anything like this I think people are forgetting who owns Power Rangers, Hasbro, the creators of Transformers. I think Hasbro could have seen this as an opportunity to use some of the assets from Transformers and bring them over the Power Rangers.

Speaking of transforming…

The Zenkaiger Robos Can Transform into their Mecha/Ranger Forms

zenkaiger leaked details

Twitter user LinkedToku showed off some images revealing more info from Zenkaiger that once again shows similarities to Hasbro’s Transformers franchise.

It seems that the Zenkaiger robos will be able to directly transform into their mecha forms and then they will be able to combine into the giant robo making the toy possibilities endless.

Also revealed are what seem to be civilian forms of sorts for the robots. So it looks like the heroes will have four transformations from their civilian robot forms all the way to the giant robo forms.

While again, I do think it would have been unlikely that Hasbro would have adapted Zenkaiger because it would have been a huge change of pace for the franchise, I think it would have been a financial success for the company regardless.

What do you guys think? Would you like to have seen Hasbro adapt Zenkaiger here in the states? Would you like to see Hasbro do something similar to Zenkaiger in the future?
