Netflix picked Captain Carter to take on the mantle – or the arrow and bow – of the streaming giant’s next project: an anime version of the widely popular action game, Tomb Raider. Atwell will once again be working for Netflix, as she was also part of the voice cast for 3Below: Tales of Arcadia.
Hayley Atwell Ready To Take Aim
The upcoming Tomb Raider series will take place twenty-five years after her debut. Tomb Raider will be written by Tasha Huo (The Witcher: Blood Origin), Dmitri M. Johnson (Sonic the Hedgehog), Stephan Bugaj, and Howard Bliss. Jacob Robinson will be an executive producer. On the big screen, Laura Croft was played by Angelina Jolie in 2001 and 2003, and then again in 2018 by Alicia Vikander. Croft is an archeologist and a treasure hunter, that is both athletic and knows how to handle herself quite well.
The Tomb Raider video games were developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montréal and published by Square Enix. The latest video game title, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, came out in 2018. The game sold more than 84 million copies as a whole. Are you a fan of the Tomb Raider games? I remember playing the original ones back in the day. I also vividly remember getting chased by dogs and dying over and over again. Fun times…
