A new trailer for the upcoming video game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been revealed as a part of the DC FanDome event.
The game takes place in the same universe as the Batman: Arkham series of games and will feature members of the Suicide Squad taking on the Justice League in what is sure to be an absolutely crazy/climatic experience for DC fans.
The trailer shows off the core roster of members, Harley Quinn, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, King Shark being recruited by Amanda Waller to take on some of DC’s greatest superheroes.
The trailer also shows off some of the crazy antics we will see the Suicide Squad get into with this new adventure, such as the team continuously electrocuting the Penguin at the end of the trailer.
Unfortunately, there was no gameplay revealed during the trailer. However, we do know that the game will center around the four characters, Harley, Deadshot, Captain Boomerang, and King Shark. We also know that the game will feature a four-player co-op mode. When playing in single-player the other characters will be played by an AI.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Connection to the Batman: Arkham Games
The game is being developed by Rocksteady Studios, who also developed the Batman: Arkham series games. During last year’s DC FanDome, it was revealed that the game would in fact be taking place in the same universe as the series.
Gameplay-wise it seems unlikely that the games will be too similar considering the four-character aspect in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. However, I should be safe to say that certain story aspects in the game will be similar considering we have already met Harley Quinn multiple times in the previous games. It will be interesting to see where Rocksteady takes the character in this brand new game.

Of course, another big question is Batman. We know a major focus of the game will be the Suicide Squad taking on the Justice League, which is something yet to be seen in the Arkham franchise. Of course, Batman is a major member of the Justice League so we will be seeing him return in this game. Hopefully, fans will get to see the return of everyone’s favorite Batman, Kevin Conroy voicing the role.
Gamers should also expect the game to take another journey into the Rated M for mature realm following Batman: Arkham Knight. Honestly, I don’t know if you could properly do a Suicide Squad game and not make it Rated M. These characters are just so crazy both mentally and overall in the comics as well as the team’s source material.
Personally, I am really looking forward to Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice. I cannot wait to see how the four-player co-op will work within the game. I also cannot wait to see how Rocksteady continues the Batman: Arkham franchise with this new adventure starring the Suicide Squad.
Suicide Squad: Kills the Justice League comes to our screen in 2022 and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as PC.
