The Fraggles are back and ready to rock in Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock.
Delight, hilarity, and adventure await us all as Gobo, Red, Mokey, Wembley, and Boober are inviting you to join them on AppleTV Plus, Friday, January 21 with the debut of their new series, Fraggle Rock: Back To The Rock. Jim Henson’s vibrant and melodious Fraggles, along with new Fraggles and Doozers voiced by special guests stars Patti LaBelle, Cynthia Erivo, Daveed Diggs, Ed Helms, Kenan Thompson, as well as an appearance by Foo Fighters, bring to the party to us through their shenanigans, while reminding us how beautiful the world can be, especially when we take care of it, and look out for one another.
The Legacy Lives On
“Dance your cares away, worries for another day. Let the music play, Down in Fraggle Rock” If those lyrics are still stuck in my mind, they need to be stuck in yours too. That’s not the only infectious aspect about Fraggle Rock, there’s an abundance of joy and an overarching sense of wonder throughout the entire franchise.
Everything about the Fraggles, as well as the hardworking men and women behind them just radiates pure unfiltered good clean positive energy. Jim Henson was not only a dreamer or a grown kid, he was the architect who built the foundation of his own playground, Fraggle Rock. While it’s sad that he’s no longer with us, it’s glorious to see his passion immortalized through his company and the people who continue his legacy.
Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock is executive produced by The Jim Henson Company’s Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford, and longtime Henson collaborator John Tartaglia. Showrunners, Matt Fusfeld and Alex Cuthbertson executive produce, alongside New Regency’s Yariv Milchan and Michael Schaefer. Co-executive producers are Dave Goelz and Karen Prell, and executive music producer is Harvey Mason Jr, with the series produced by Ritamarie Peruggi.
