Beetlejuice fans are super excited for a second movie!
In 1988, Keaton and Ryder originated the characters in the Tim Burton’s classic comedy Beetlejuice. Now, according to Collider’s Jeff Sneider, filming of the sequel project could begin this coming summer. Brad Pitt’s production company, Plan B Entertainment, is said to be in charge of the film.

While there is no word yet of Tim Burton being involved, there is enough star power to get fans ready for what comes next. The original Beetlejuice was directed by Burton in 1988 and has became a cult classic, starring Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis as ghosts who haunt their own home when a little girl (Winona Ryder) accidentally unleashes a evil ghost (Michael Keaton). The ghosts try to drive the new homeowners (Catherine O’ Hara & Jeffery Jones) out of the house.
What Shakes Loose In Beetlejuice 2
This highly anticipated sequel seems to have fans one step closer to seeing the story continue. The characters of Beetlejuice and Lydia Deetz are the most loved from the original film, and the reports suggest Winona Ryder and Michael Keaton will both be back onboard. It will certainly be interesting to see who else from the original film will return, although we can expect Alec Baldwin to stay out given his recent legal troubles.
Though we hope to see Danny Elfman return for his amazing score, one thing is for sure: these two amazing actors are enough to get fans pumped to return to the Netherworld.
