Want to shake up and add a twist to the classic formula that is platform games? Then you need to check out Orbital Bullet as it gets ready for full release on March 21.
Releasing on Steam, Orbital Bullet is a pixelated roguelite action-platformer that is highly-anticipated. But forget the days of linear running, this platform style game features a distinct 360 degree rotating level design that has you running and shooting in circles. Blasting your way around the platform with guns blazing, you will make your way through enemies and diverse, beautiful biomes.
Not only that, but during its time in the early access phase, developers SmokeStab Studio released several updates that upped the antics with challenging bosses, hypnotic environments, and new levels. Check out the trailer for just one of the updates that came out last month.
Orbital Bullet – Upcycling Update Trailer
Making your way through a variety of procedural planets, you will be entranced by the visuals and sounds. Orbital Bullet features a pounding electronica soundtrack composed by Niilo Takalainen and Juha Korpelanien. This pairs perfectly with the neon visuals that will give players an exciting experience with the fast pace game play.

We can’t stop talking about the unique 2.5D ring-shaped level design that changes the way we will look at platformers in the future. But this game is so much more than that. Players will need to use body modifications, crafting, upgrades, and heavy weaponry if they want to make it to the top. One of the best ways to do that is through building your own skill tree through clever and tactical decisions. Another amazing feature is the ability to unlock meticulously crafted classes that will turn them into an unstoppable artillery-wielding force by solving puzzles and challenges. None of that even starts to cover the benefits that dying might get you.
Orbital Bullet has a death-defying progression system that only adds to the level of addiction this game might become for players. Why do “just one-more-run” when your death allows you to spend nanobytes to receive permanent upgrades and skills. For example, you might be able to end up with a bigger Medi-Backpack or extra shield that lasts longer. Maybe you want to switch out the starting weapon for something more powerful.
And death seems like the only amount of peace you might receive in this game. There is no time to relax because as soon as you complete a stage, the next one is already beginning. This helps keep those trigger fingers happy while you feel the beat of the music take over, hyping you up to keep playing.

We love games that are exciting, inventive, eye-catching, and can deliver an amazing soundtrack, but what we especially love is when games give back. Orbital Bullet offers a bundle with the official soundtrack for $26.99. This bundle provides 10% to Ocean Cleanup, who Assemble Entertainment has teamed up with. You can also purchase just the game for $16.99.
There is no doubt that Orbital Bullet is a winner and we are excited to see it move from the early-access to full release on Steam March 21. But don’t take our word for it, check it out on Steam now to glance over the extremely positive reviews from the majority of players and others in the industry. Plus make sure to checkout Assemble Entertainment for all the amazing games they have coming out, as well as keep updated with the developers SmokeStab Studios.
