Bel-Air - Season 2

Peacock’s Bel-Air showcases new drama and some familiar faces in an all-new trailer.

Bel-Air is returning with Season 2 on Peacock in February. The modern-day adaptation of the iconic 90’s family sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, premiered last year to rave reviews from fans and critics alike. The season ended with some major revelations and left the door open to explore the lives of the Banks family, Jazzy Jeff, and WIll. The new Season looks to be picking up some time after the season finale and time only seems to have only enabled the issues to ruminate. They all seem ready to bloom for everyone in Season 2.

Season 2 looks to have Will living on his own and facing a barrage of different issues. Will is making a living off of pick-up basketball in Venice Beach while still attending Bel-Air Prep. However, though he’s the winning, he comes to find out he’s the big fish in a small pond, and to really be at the top of the game, Will believes he needs to be the Philly version of himself to succeed. Unfortunately, Philly WIll is alone and disconnected, and Will will likely lose some big battles to find the right path.

The rest of the family also seems to be going through it. Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv are not seeing eye-to-eye and the fire does not look to be burning very bright between them. And when Michael Ealy is involved… it’s usually not great for a couple whose relationship is on the rocks. Carlton is also looking to be going through major identity issues and tackling the issues of being one of the few people of color and a predominantly white high-society bubble. Hillary is struggling with her new business/partnership. But it’s kind of hard to tell what Ashley is going through.

Despite the drama highlighted in the trailer, the first look pictures do show a lot of the family spending time together. Family was a strong theme in the original series and one that has been shown to be prevalent in the current series. Fans will have to wait and see how everyone tackles their problems when the series returns next month.

Bel-Air Season 2 premieres on February 23, 2023, exclusively on Peacock.

Professional Nerd | Amateur Human | Creative/Content Director The best way to describe Kevin Fenix is the kid you never tell what the buttons do in video games so you have a chance to win. Being 6’ 4” and Asian, he never really fit in, so he got comfortable standing out. Not only is it easy to find him in crowds, he dabbles in the culinary arts, does a little stand up and improv, and can honestly say Spider-Man is the Jesus-like influence of his life. Kevin Fenix loves dogs, movies, television, comics, comedy, and to shoot people… with video.
