Sometime after Rihanna’s concert, where she allowed a football game to take place, a new trailer for Air debuted. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are reuniting to tell the story of the unbelievable game-changing partnership which lead to the greatest shoes ever made and the brand that revolutionized the world of sports and contemporary culture, the Air Jordan brand. The film will follow the story of the career-defining gamble of an unconventional team with everything on the line, the uncompromising vision of a mother who knows the worth of her son’s immense talent, and the greatest basketball player of all time.

The Big Game Spot for Air: Courting a Legend is a punchier version of the official trailer that was released just a couple of days before. From the Big Game Spot, it is very apparent that the story takes place in a time when Air Jordans aren’t a commodity that many people make a living buying and reselling because of their cultural value, and Michael Jordan is not the greatest basketball player of all time that is maybe contested by three other names.

Instead, this movie will expose the modern world to a time when people didn’t have to hope they won a digital lottery on an app to get Air Jordans, and instead had to be convinced the idea of Air Jordans is a good idea. It will be a truly mind-blowing experience to see a time when Michael Jordan and Air Jordans weren’t pillars of popular culture and a prominent part of basketball’s DNA.

Unbelievable Story with Masterfully Believable Story Tellers

The film reunites the legendary Hollywood duo, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. Affleck co-wrote the film and is directing it, as well as playing Phil Knight. Damon is one of the producers and also stars in the film as Sonny Vaccaro. The two are joined by the incredible Viola Davis portraying Michael Jordan’s mother, Deloris Jordan, as well as Chris Messina, Matthew Maher, Marlon Wayans, Jay Mohr, Julius Tennon, and with Chris Tucker as Howard White. Not sure yet who will be portraying Michael Jordan or if he will even be featured in the film. Answers will come as we approach the release date.
