Get your first look at Aliens: Dark Descent, the real-time, squad-based tactical action game, emerging June 20 on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.

Tindalos Interactive and Focus Entertainment have revealed the release date and gameplay footage of Aliens: Dark Descent, coming to PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on June 20, 2023. The game features an original tale set in the iconic Alien universe, focusing on the journey players will go on after their ship crash lands on the planet Lethe. Be careful out there, because if one of your Colonial Marines perishes, there will be no respawning.

This strategic, real-time squad-based tactical action game, will launch worldwide on June 20, 2023 for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC. Alongside the release date, the first gameplay video for this terrifying original tale set in the iconic Alien universe is also revealed, breaking down what players can expect when your ship crash lands on Planet Lethe.

As you can see from the trailer, the game slings players into the cold vacuum of space where they will have to employ a range of tactical abilities to unravel the original tale full of sinister secrets, iconic Xenomorphs, and brand-new threats. Players can explore the horrors and wonders on the planet Lethe with a slew of incredible game features.

  • Face off in a gripping original Alien story against iconic Xenomorph creatures ranging from Facehuggers to Praetorians, Alien Queens, and many more, including rogue human commandos and a brand-new threat unique to this Alien storyline
  • Lead strategically and change squad tactics from mission to mission, carefully managing your soldiers’ health, resources, and sanity, to avoid permanent team losses and mental breakdowns
  • Forge unique paths for survival in a persistent world, uncovering shortcuts, creating safe zones, and setting up motion trackers to stay one step ahead of these creatures
  • Assemble and level up squads composed of 5 starting Marines classes, with dozens of specializations, unique abilities, and weapons

Players will be recruiting, leveling up, and commanding their squad of Colonial Marines in real-time with intuitive controls on both keyboard and mouse or controller. Players will see their marines act, based on their commands issued over comms, swiftly obeyed by the marine best-equipped for the situation according to their abilities and equipment. Players will need to use their wits to navigate expansive, persistent, and reactive levels and complete objectives. But be cautious and monitor each marine’s vitals – death is permanent for any who fall in combat.

Aliens: Dark Descent slithers onto PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC on June 20, 2023.
