Welcome to Element City, where a host of different elements live and work. There’s earth, fire, wind, water, and a lot of heart to be found in Element City, but what you won’t find are the elements mixing. That is until Ember and Wade meet. Watch the elements collide in what looks to be Disney and Pixar’s most visually ambitious film yet, Elemental.

Element City is inspired by big cities around the globe and embraces theorized contributions from each elemental community, from giant pine-tree-like buildings and waterfall skyscrapers to a tornado-shaped arena called Cyclone Stadium. This spectacular world is born from the imaginations of Pixar’s filmmakers and specifically crafted for the big-screen experience. Elemental is opening in theaters on June 16, 2023.

Carl’s Date

Carl's Date

Pixar Animation Studios will resume their magical moviegoing tradition of pairing their feature film with an animated short—like 2018’s Oscar®-winning Bao that accompanied The Incredibles 2 in theaters. Releasing just ahead of Elemental is a new short that catches up with Carl Fredricksen (voiced by Ed Asner) and his lovable talking dog, Dug (voice by Bob Peterson), who were introduced in Pixar’s Oscar®-winning feature Up.

Written and directed by Academy Award® nominee and Emmy® Award winner Bob Peterson and produced by Kim Collins, this all-new short, Carl’s Date, finds Carl reluctantly agreeing to go on a date with a lady friend—but admittedly with no idea how dating works these days. Ever the helpful friend, Dug steps in to calm Carl’s pre-date jitters and offer some tried-and-true tips for making friends—if you’re a dog.

Carl’s Date will premiere along with Elemental on June 16, 2023, exclusively in theaters.
