Q Con year 2 is right around the corner!
Q Con

Get ready for Southern California’s newest LGBTQ+ comic con, Q Con, presented by Prism Comics. The nonprofit organization is dedicated to promoting visibility, diversity, and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community in comics, graphic novels, and popular media.

On June 17, 2023, from 10 am to 5 pm, Fiesta Hall in Plummer Park, West Hollywood, will be transformed into a celebration of all things LGBTQ+ and comics. Admission to the event is free and family-friendly, so all attendees, from pre-teens to adults, can enjoy the festivities.

What is Q Con?

The first Q Con was held last year and attracted over 900 attendees. This year’s event promises to be bigger and better, featuring panel presentations, autograph and sketch sessions with creators from indie comics to major publishers, and a fun and festive costume contest. Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite comic characters and show off their creativity and love of LGBTQ+ representation in comics.

The event is a chance for comic fans to connect with each other and meet their favorite creators, all while celebrating the LGBTQ+ community. Attendees will be able to find a wide variety of comics and graphic novels affirming LGBTQ+ representation, making Q Con an exciting and colorful event.

Prism Comics is dedicated to providing a platform for the LGBTQ+ community to showcase their talents and representation in comics and popular media. By hosting events like Q Con, they are helping to raise awareness and promote visibility for the LGBTQ+ community, and to create a more inclusive space for comic fans. Attendees will have the chance to learn more about the organization and their mission to champion diversity and inclusion in comics.

The event promises to be a fun and inclusive experience for all attendees, regardless of their background or level of experience with comics. The team behind Q Con is excited to create a space where the LGBTQ+ community can come together to celebrate their love of comics and popular media. The event will be a chance for attendees to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community, make new friends, and connect with like-minded individuals.

Kevin Fenix

Professional Nerd | Amateur Human | Creative/Content Director The best way to describe Kevin Fenix is the kid you never tell what the buttons do in video games so you have a chance to win. Being 6’ 4” and Asian, he never really fit in, so he got comfortable standing out. Not only is it easy to find him in crowds, he dabbles in the culinary arts, does a little stand up and improv, and can honestly say Spider-Man is the Jesus-like influence of his life. Kevin Fenix loves dogs, movies, television, comics, comedy, and to shoot people… with video.
