The first official trailer for the upcoming action-comedy Hidden Strike has been released, and why this film isn’t being promoted in America makes 0 sense. The film stars Jackie Chan and John Cena as two ex-special forces soldiers who are tasked with escorting a group of oil refinery employees to safety amidst an attempt by attackers to steal its oil.

The trailer is full of action, humor, and plenty of Jackie Chan’s trademark stunt work. Cena also looks to be in good form, and the two actors seem to have great chemistry together. The supporting cast, which includes Pilou Asbæk, Amadeus Serafini, Minghao Hou, and Zhenwei Wang, also look to really enhance the buddy aspects between Chan and Cena.

Hidden Strike is directed by Scott Waugh, who most recently directed The Expendables 4 and is also known for directing Need for Speed. Waugh is known for his action films, so it’s no surprise that Hidden Strike looks like it’s going to be an exciting ride. Waugh looks to be highlighting the contrast between Chan’s agility and Cena’s mass in the action and in their character personalities. This looks to be the making of a great back-and-forth between the two that should be hilarious but also dynamic in the action sequences.

The film was originally titled Snafu or Project X-Traction the film and initially began filming in June of 2018, during which Cena lived in China. After filming wrapped at the end of 2018, however, no further news has been released about the movie, leaving many to wonder whether the project would ever see the light of day. Luckily we know that is no longer the case and have an idea about when it will finally release.

Hidden Strike looks like a lot of fun. It’s an action-packed, funny, and exciting film that should appeal to fans of Jackie Chan, John Cena, and action movies in general. Jackie Chan and John Cena are two of the biggest stars in the world. They are both known for their charisma, their humor, and their amazing physical performance.
