High school is about to leave a mark, quite literally, with the release of the refreshingly unique raunchy comedy, Bottoms. Directed by Emma Seligman and written by Emma Seligman and Rachel Sennott, the film stars Rachel Sennott and Ayo Edebiri. It’s set to hit select theaters on August 25th.

A Fight Club with a Twist

Bottoms follows two high school girls, PJ and Josie, who come up with a bizarre plan to lose their virginities to cheerleaders. They start a fight club, and their plan works. The fight club gains popularity, and soon the most sought-after girls in school are beating each other up in the name of self-defense. However, PJ and Josie soon find themselves in over their heads and must find a way out before their plan is exposed.

Bottoms is rated R for crude sexual content, pervasive language, and some violence, reflecting its raunchy and irreverent tone.

The film’s cast includes Rachel Sennott, Ayo Edebiri, Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber, Nicholas Galitzine, with Dagmara Dominczyk and Marshawn Lynch. Produced by Elizabeth Banks, Max Handelman, and Alison Small, with Ted Deiker as the executive producer, the film also features music by Charli XCX & Leo Birenberg.
