Earlier today, Star Wars fans received what felt like a confirmation that Sabine Wren is officially a Jedi ahead of the Ashoka season finale.
According to the site’s recap for Ahsoka Episode 7, listed as (“Dreams and Madness”), “Ezra Bridger, Ahsoka Tano, and Sabine are mentioned as “our three Jedi heroes,” which should put all questions to rest about Sabine’s Jedi status.

The recap also includes a summary of the series while acknowledging the history of these characters :
“Following two climactic rematches — Sabine with Ezra versus Shin, and Ahsoka against Baylan — our three Jedi heroes are finally together. Ezra’s joyous statement, a realization that he is finally heading back home, is the payoff of a thread that started with the finale of Star Wars Rebels. It’s hard not to smile along with him.”

Now, the surprise might come as a shock to many. Still, the real question is if Sabine is force-sensitive, which feels like a significant payoff that writer and director Dave Filoni has been teasing since the Ahsoka‘s first episode. Of course, reflecting on the series, Sabine has shown glimpses of being force-sensitive, such as speaking to her master or Filoni utilizing a close-up of her looking at the cup, trying to pull it towards her, during the events of the first episode.

Other instances of her apparent Jedi status could also be Sabine wielding Ezra’s Lightsaber and following under the guidance of Ashoka, who is her master, continuing the lessons and knowledge of from Anakin, which the series did flesh out, due to the inclusion and charisma of Hayden Christen guest starring in a small yet pivotal recurring role.
The question remains: is this a new generation of Jedi that is being shown because, in canon, there have been Mandalorian Jedi, such as Darth Revan and Tarre Vizla, creator of the Darksaber, and even Din Grogu, after the events of The Mandalorian season 3.
Still, it’s a question to many, surrounding the Dave Filoni and Jon Favearu Disney+ shows being effective as having the responsibility to lay the foundation and illustrate how the events of the sequel trilogy manifested while respecting writing the wrongs, that caused many fans to tune out while honoring the integrity of the Clone Wars and Rebels source material, which Ashoka has been balancing perfectly.

Others feel Filoni could be building a Marvel-like experience to reach its climax with every thread explored from all the shows in his feature film, announced earlier this year at the Star Wars Celebration event, or the caveat of additional seasons.
Nonetheless, Ashoka has also featured the live-action of central notable characters such as Grand Admiral Thrawn and Night Sisters, which are elements fans have longed to witness. In addition, Filoni continues to gift fans and the general audience with vital components, rekindling the Star Wars experience.
So it feels like the future of Star Wars is in good hands, and only time will tell if the element of the revelation of Sabine being classified as a Jedi will be explored and made integral to the character without feeling forced.
