X-MEN ’97 PICKS UP FROM WHERE THE SERIES FINALE LEFT OFF

The all-new series picks up from where the previous animated show that ran from 1992 to 1997 left off. In the new show, the band of mutants known as the X-Men are challenged like never before as they attempt to use their uncanny gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them.

In the new show, it looks like the X-Men look to keep Professor Charles Xavier’s dream alive after he was forced to leave the planet at the end of the show. While Cyclops looks to lead the team, it looks like Magneto is now seeking to take control of the mansion and the Xavier Institute of Higher Learning.

In addition to the new trailer, Marvel also revealed new stills and images for the series, which you can check out in the gallery below:

The voice cast for the new show features Ray Chase as Cyclops, Jennifer Hale as Jean Grey, Alison Sealy-Smith as Storm, Cal Dodd as Logan/Wolverine, JP Karliak as Morph, Lenore Zann as Rogue, George Buza as Beast, AJ LoCascio as Gambit, Holly Chou as Jubilee, Isaac Robinson-Smith as Bishop, Matthew Waterson as Magneto, and Adrian Hough as Nightcrawler. Beau DeMayo serves as head writer and showrunner for the show.

Jake Castorena, Chase Conley, and Emi Yonemura serve as episode directors for the new season, with music composed by The Newton Brothers. The show is executive-produced by Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, and DeMayo.
