Digimon Con 2024 date has been revealed as the highly anticipated event for Digimon fans announces March debut. The online event for fans of the franchise has finally been set on the calendar, with teasers for the 25th anniversary of the anime giving hope for a new release. The logo for the Digimon Con has also been revealed to include Agumon and Gabumon joined by the latest mascots, Loogamon and Pteromon. The guest lineup for the event has also been revealed to include iconic voices from the series, including the voice actors of Digimon in the anime series.
Digimon Con 2024 will feature the 25th anniversary of Digimon Anime as the original Digimon Adventure series debut on March 7, 1999. The original Digimon Adventure series featured the 8 iconic Digimon Partners every fan knows, including Agumon, Gabumon, and Piyomon (Biyomon).

The latest anime series from Toei Animation aired for the franchise was Digimon Ghost Game, which first aired on October 3, 2021, and concluded on March 26, 2023, with the 67th episode. Only the Web novel series, Digimon Seekers, remained as the only content for Digimon fans to enjoy, alongside the Digimon TCG and the upcoming Digimon Liberator webcomic series coming this Spring.
Digimon Con 2024 Coming In March, With Many Scattered Teasers
Digimon Con 2024 has been revealed to be hosted by the Digimon Partners official YouTube channel on March 9 at 7 p.m. PST. The event will also celebrate the 25th anniversary of Digimon anime, with special guest appearances of Chika Sakamoto (voice of Agumon), Mayumi Yamaguchi (voice of Gabumon), and Atori Shigematsu (voice of Piyomon) scheduled. The Japanese voice actors for the Adventure series were announced by Digimon Partners along with the event date, along with the following announcements by Toei Animation and Digimon Web.
The event announcement was also shared by other Digimon-tied social media including the Official Digimon Card Game English version on X. However, the event was also shared on social media by Bandai Namco, which has yet to announce another Digimon game since the PC and Switch port of Digimon World: Next Order.
KarnEx, the iconic Welsh Digimon content creator and personality, recently placed on spotlight on Bandai Namco sharing the news on social media, suggesting that the company might be keen to release or even announce another Digimon game soon.
It’s fantastic that there is so much hype surrounding the upcoming Digimon Con 2024 and we are buzzing to discover what announcements or news could debut. Events should always come with a pinch of salt, but it would be unthinkable that the 25th anniversary of the anime will come without the next big release announced. A new series is long overdue as fans have been waiting for a new release for nearly a year, but Digimon Seekers did a decent job at filling the void in the meantime.

Fans also have Digimon Liberator to look forward to during the event, as many features and reveals could debut before the webcomic serialization in Spring. With the Digimon TCG also part of the story, fans could also be treated with some Card Game news and reveals during the event. It will be interesting to see if more than just the anime will feature, but fans are hoping for more content from the franchise to drop at this year’s event.
