We can’t count on Morbius or Madame Web, but we can count on Venom to keep the wheels turning for Sony’s Spider-Man Universe without Spider-Man. Venom 3 is happening and Clark Backo is joining the cast.
Clark Backo will be joining Tom Hardy, June Temple, and Chiwetel Ejiofor in the upcoming threequel about everyone’s favorite parasitic relationship between a man and his symbiote as they quite literally take a bite out of crime very often.
All we know regarding the characters is that Tom Hardy is playing Eddie Brock/Venom. Details about who Backo and the rest of the cast are playing are under wraps, no pun intended.
Venom 3 is being directed by Kelly Marcel in her feature directorial debut. Marcel also wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Hardy. They both produced the two preceding Venom movies, and they will be producing again alongside Avi Arad, Matt Tolmach, Amy Pascal, and Hutch Parker.

Backo was recently starring alongside Lakeith Stanfield on the Apple TV Plus limited series The Changeling, playing Emma, a troubled wife who mysteriously vanished. Marcel was the creator, executive producer, and showrunner of the The Changeling.
Backo proved herself to be a powerful actor in the series. She boasts a nomination for an Indie Spirit award for breakthrough performance in a new scripted series.
She is best known for playing Rosie on the hit Canadian comedy Letterkenny, which ended after twelve seasons in December. She has been in the series since Season 2.

You may recognize Clark Backo from CW’s Supernatural, Netflix’s 21 Thunder, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, CBC’s Shoot The Messenger, and ABC’s Designated Survivor among many others.
There’s more of her on TV than there is on film but that’s changing as more and more directors and producers see what she’s capable of. She may likely be thrust into superstar status as Venom 3 looks to be her big break into blockbuster movies.
