Arcade1Up is back with a brand-new, or should we say uncanny, at-home arcade machine inspired by X-Men ’97. The company specializes in retrogaming and crafting unique arcade machines that transport you back to the ‘70s, ‘80s, ‘90s, and even the 2000s, all from the comfort of your home.

Their previous projects include classic arcade machines like Pac-Man, Mortal Kombat II, and Street Fighter II, but now, they’ve switched gears to something a little more mutant-y.

Relive the Glory Days of X-Men & Capcom Video Games

It’s been a long time since we’ve gotten a quality X-Men video game, and with the upcoming release of X-Men ‘97, Arcade1Up decided to do something about that. However, instead of a new game, they’re taking us back to the golden era of X-Men video games with their new X-Men ‘97 Edition Deluxe Arcade.

That’s right. Relive some of Capcom’s all-time best crossover fighting games like Marvel vs. Capcom 1 & 2, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, or its sequel, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. The system also features the iconic standalone fighting game X-Men: Children of the Atom, which coincidentally released around the time of X-Men: The Animated Series. And, if traditional fighting games aren’t your style, the arcade machine also includes fan-favorite beat-‘em-ups X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse and Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems.

While it certainly has the games, Aracade1Up spared no expense in designing its latest arcade machine. It features the newest iteration of the iconic team, as seen in X-Men ‘97, with Jean Grey, Storm, Rogue, Bishop, Morph, and Wolverine on one side and Gambit, Jubilee, Beast, and Cyclops on the other. And Magneto looms over both sets of heroes on either side.

The machine also has online multiplayer, dual speakers for dynamic sound, a 17” BOE color monitor, and traditional arcade machine features, like a light-up marquee and coin doors. The machine stands over five feet tall.

However, Arcade1Up’s latest product isn’t an arcade machine; it’s a time machine, bringing the excitement of ‘90s video games into the comfort of your home. It’s also the perfect companion to snag before the premiere of Marvel Animation’s X-Men ‘97. Imagine battling Magneto and mastering mutant abilities with the X-Men before tuning in to the latest episode of the upcoming Disney+ series.
