UPLOAD Renewed for Show’s Fourth and Final Season

Upload is officially coming back for another season. Prime Video officially announced today that the hit sci-fi comedy series, Upload, has been renewed for a fourth and final season. The series comes from Emmy Award Winning Writer Greg Daniels.

The show launched its third season in October 2023, with the jaw-dropping finale debuting on Nov. 10, 2023. The fourth installment will stream and debut exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories across the world at a late date.

UPLOAD RETURNING TO LAKEVIEW FOR THE FOURTH AND FINAL SEASON

The show is set in a technologically advanced future where holographic phones, self-driving vehicles, AI assistance, and 3D food printers are the norm for society. Instead of dying, people have their consciousness “uploaded” to a virtual reality afterlife, enjoying all the comforts of a world-class resort, if they can afford it.

Speaking on the news via a press release, Amazon MGM Studios Head of TV Vernon Sanders stated on the news, “I’m thrilled to share that Upload will return to Prime Video for a fourth and final installment. We are grateful to Greg and the fantastic team behind the series and while goodbyes are bittersweet, we know that the series will be uploaded to its well-deserved idealistic after-life.”

Meanwhile, series creator, writer, and executive producer Greg Daniels commented, “When I conceived Upload many years ago, I had the story arced out over four seasons, so I am thrilled to make the ending the fans deserve and the characters and creative team have been working towards.” The writer continued, “Jen Salke and Vernon Sanders have been our Angels and they deserve 5 stars.”

The show is created and showrun by Daniels, who also executive produces the series with Howard Klein and Jeff Blitz. The series stars Robbie Amell as Nathan, Andy Allo as Nora, Kevin Bigley as Luke, Allegra Edwards as Ingrid, Zainab Johnson as Aleesha, and Owen Daniels as A.I. Guy.

The release date for Season 4 of Upload has not yet been announced as it’s still in the works. It will stream on Prime Video later on.

Back in the real world, Aleesha rises through the ranks of Horizen by managing AI education and falls into a new romantic relationship. And Luke, all alone in Lakeview, is forced to come up with the funds to pay for his stay in paradise, driving him to work in The Grey Zone.
