CREATIVES BEHIND BLACK RABBIT

This isn’t Jason Bateman’s first rodeo when it comes to directing. He made his first directorial debut back in 1989 at 20 years old with The Hogan Family episode “Educating Rita” (Season 5, Episode 10). At the time, he set the record for the youngest director in the Directors Guild of America. In 2019, he was awarded the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series for his direction of Ozark and has won three Screen Actors Guild Awards for his performance. Bateman will be directing the first two episodes of Black Rabbit while he and Michael Costigan’s Aggregate Films will be producing the series.

When it comes to English actor Jude Law, he has received multiple awards and nominations, including a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role and the Honorary César. He has been nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role as well as a total of two Academy Awards, two Tony Awards, and four Golden Globe Awards. Law was also named a knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French government. Law and Ben Jackson’s Riff Raff Entertainment company will be executive producing the series.

Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Zach Baylin and Kate Susman will write the series based on an original idea and according to Netflix, the series is categorized as a one-hour drama genre. Those who will also be executive producing Black Rabbit with Law and Bateman are Zach Baylin and Kate Susman’s Youngblood Pictures, Andrew Hinderaker, Zac Frognowski, Justin Levy, and David Bernon.
