AMC Networks has announced that the highly-anticipated drama, Orphan Black: Echoes, will premiere Sunday, June 23 on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America. The series is set in the world of Orphan Black and it stars Krysten Ritter (Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Love and Death).

Ritter is also executive producing the series as well. This announcement was made as part of the celebration of Orphan Black‘s 11th anniversary this past weekend. Check out the epic teaser trailer below:
A NEW ADVENTURE AWAITS
Orphan Black is set in the near future where it takes a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence. A group of women are weaved into each other’s lives and embark on a journey where they unravel the mystery of their identity and uncovers a wrenching story of love and betrayal. Ritter plays Lucy, a woman with an unimaginable origin story where she tries to find her place in the world.
The series also stars Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard, It’s a Sin, Line of Duty), Amanda Fix (High School), Avan Jogia (Zombieland: Double Tap), Rya Kihlstedt (A Teacher) and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry). Anna Fishko is the creator, writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the series with John Fawcett, the co-creator of the original series signed on as director and executive producer. David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg return as executive producers and it will be managed by Boat Rocker.
Orphan Black received critical and award acclaim, earning a Peabody Award in 2014. Produced by Boat Rocker and starring Emmy winner Tatiana Maslany in multiple roles, the series became a cult phenomenon with a passionate fanbase. The series starts on a train platform when a troubled woman, Beth Childs (Maslany) locks eyes with an unknown identical woman, Sarah Manning (Maslany), before jumping to her death. From that day on, they’ve been inextricably linked to a clone conspiracy that has come to rule Sarah’s life. There are twists and turns in every corner which leads to a new enemy, a new ally, a new clone, and new questions.

Throughout the successful run of the series, a comic book series was published by IDW Publishing, a 10-episode audio series titled Orphan Black: The Next Chapter was announced with Tatiana Maslany reprising her role, and soundtracks were released. Even though it’s been nearly 7 years since the original series ended, this spin-off series is definitely going to introduce and reel-in fans of the original series once it arrives in June. Before its debut on AMC in the United States, the first season was released in its entirety in Australia on Stan.
