Netflix’s The Greatest Roast of All Time: 4 Possible Candidates to Take Jabs at Tom Brady

NFL legend Tom Brady is set to be roast on Netflix. But who will be roasting him?

The Illuminerdi’s Chalice Williams will be in attendance to recall the funniest moments from what is sure to be one of the most nights on Netflix.

Retirement has been treating this man well and now it’s time to give him crap for his legendary career. Football GOAT Tom Brady will get the roast treatment, appropriately titled Greatest Roast of All Time. The event will take place on Sunday, May 5th at the Forum and will be the first live-streamed roast via Netflix. As you might recall, the previous roasts were broadcast on Comedy Central and were tapped in advance. This time around, anything is possible as this will be filmed with an audience that even fans can purchase tickets to. While the slogan is “recently said”no helmets, no mercy, no Brady rule”, it can be assumed that tasteless jokes about family will be off limits – as they should be.

While it was recently announced that comedian Kevin Hart would be hosting the event, there is still no official word as to who would be flaming the 7-time Super Bowl winner. Brady has a slew of famous best friends including Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Leonardo DiCaprio, and a long list of athletes. With the roast being only weeks away, we pick our top 4 predictions for who might be throwing some hilarious jabs at the Patriot turned Buccaneer.

Eli Manning

I’m pretty sure this one goes without saying and he was probably the first choice when drafting a list of potential roasters to invite. Eli Manning is the only quarterback to deliver 2 L’s to Brady in the Super Bowl, in 2008 and 2012. The fact Brady has only lost 3 championships and 2 of them were from the same team is quite an accomplishment for Manning. The GOAT can flaunt his 7 rings, but Manning could always say, “But you’ve never won one against me though…”.

Bill Belichick

If there’s anyone who’s super-qualified for the role of going in on Brady, it’s his coach of 20 years, Bill Belichick. The man has seen the quarterback through highs and lows, even giving him his start when Drew Bledsoe got injured in 2001. Many have often credited the Patriots coach with being crucial to Brady’s career, wondering what would have happened if he remained a 4th string quarterback.

Rob Gronkowski

It would be a crime if Gronk didn’t take the stage. Like, he’d have to have a damn good excuse like a child being born or stuck out of the country due to flight issues. Arguably one of the greatest tight ends would be the perfect roaster, as he played with Brady in both New England and in Tampa Bay. The duo were unstoppable during their time together but it would be crazy to think Gronk doesn’t have a few jokes in his arsenal. He has the potential to be the BEST roaster on the lineup if he has been added to the roster.

Charles Woodson

Two words: Tuck rule. Charles Woodson and Brady were teammates back at Michigan, but their controversial play from their days in the pros is still a topic of conversation to this day.

Was it a fumble or was it indeed what came to be known as the “tuck rule“? We can’t see a Brady roast taking place without referencing the 2002 game-changing call. And who better to joke about the said incident than former Raider Charles Woodson? Follow us on social media for more content like this. We’re always watching.
