The new installment of the isekai series is part of the Spring 2024 line-up after fans waited over a year for the next installment. Aside from the OAD, Visions of Coleus, fans have had to wait over a year since the 1st movie was released. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie – Scarlet Bond premiere in Japan in November 2022, with fans having to wait until January 2023 to enjoy the theatrical installment of the story.

After 7 episodes into Season 3, the next episode will finally feature a rematch between Rimuru and Hinata. That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime featured a slow burn as meetings were held in the Jura and the Holy Empire of Lubelius. Although vital to the story, fans were overly eager for the action to return as many episodes featured debates and status establishments. Thankfully, Hinata has finally made her way into contact with Rimuru after outside forces try to get the pair to clash.
A huge amount of tension has been climbing as each episode subtly introduced more characters and opposing factions. The story shows that there could be peace between Rimuru and Hinata, but both have been forced to resume their conflict due to outside manipulation. As these exterior forces work in the shadows, it will be interesting to see if a peaceful resolution can be found, especially as Hinata is slowly becoming reasonable in appearance.

The new season will have 2 consecutive cours so there is still so much to be revealed as the story progresses. This upcoming episode will also be the 56th installment of the series, but now is the perfect time to catch up with events. If fans were previously put off from the constant seminars held before, the conclusion to the build up with now finally reveal if it was worth the wait this Friday.
