Just in time for the back-to-school season, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort have announced the Back to Hogwarts seasonal celebration for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Running from today until September 1, guests at the park will be able to flaunt their house pride: Gryffindor, Slytherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw.

Back to Hogwarts will inspire Hogwarts students to proudly wear their house robes to strike a post at the Hogwarts Express or raise their wands in solidarity with their individual Hogwarts house at Hogwarts Castle. The journey for the young witches and wizards will begin from King’s Cross Station and Platform 9 3/4 leading to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Back to Hogwarts invites guests to flaunt their house pride as their own academic school year commences. In preparation for the event, special Back to Hogwarts school bundles are available for purchase. These include some must-have items, such as a backpack and journal themed to students’ preferred Hogwarts house as well as Hedwig owl plush.
As the event continues, a specially themed Iced Biscuit will debut in the parks on Aug. 12. It will be available for purchase as Honeydukes within Hogsmeade at both theme park destinations, plus at Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop at Diagon Alley at Universal Orlando.
Guests will be able to celebrate Back to Hogwarts at The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure, along with The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida.
Now seems to be a good time for Harry Potter fans. The sports-themed Quidditch Champions game will be hitting console via a digital release starting Sept. 3. This will be followed by the release of the physical editions in November, followed by a holiday season release for the Switch.
Additionally, Warner Bros. Discovery is developing a new television series based on the acclaimed book series. The new series will be a “faithful adaptation” of J.K. Rowling’s original books. Rowling serves as an executive producer for the show, which is being produced by Warner Bros. Television as a Max Original Series. It will stream later on via the Max service in the U.S. and abroad.
