A new project called Marvel Studios’ Nomad, has been uncovered.
At the 2020 Disney Investors Day meeting, Marvel head honcho Kevin Feige gave announcements for six new projects coming for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These will help branch off of legacies already built in the MCU while introducing new stories and characters into the fray that will build on the universe for years to come.
Don Cheadle’s Armor Wars and Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart will continue what Robert Downey, Jr.’s Tony Stark helped build for more than a decade. While James Gunn will bring his own franchise to Disney+ with both I Am Groot and the Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special. This is all in addition to Samuel L. Jackson’s Secret Invasion and the MCU’s first Fantastic Four movie, which will be helmed by Spider-Man director Jon Watts.

Even with all this coming, fans know that Marvel Studios has likely dozens of other projects that just haven’t come to light yet. One of these unknown entities may have just been revealed, however, by one of the industry’s leading scoopers.
Nomad Is Coming Out Of Hiding at Marvel Studios
Charles Murphy of Murphy’s Multiverse revealed that Marvel Studios has filed a trademark under the name “Marvel Studios Nomad” for merchandising goods, indicating that they are developing a series centered around Nomad for Disney+. They filed similar trademarks for all of the new projects that Kevin Feige announced at Disney Investor’s Day.
The biggest mystery behind this Nomad project is who will actually be the central character considering the MCU’s recent history with the hero. The most common theory is that Captain America took on the Nomad persona between the events of Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, but there could be other avenues that Marvel takes with this new property.

With the multiverse in play, heroes from a newer generation like Bucky’s granddaughter Rikki or Steve Rogers’ adopted son Ian could end up being Nomad in the MCU. There is also the option of a spin-off from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier where Bucky himself or Wyatt Russell’s US Agent takes on the mantle, but there are no indications as to which way Marvel will go.
No matter what happens, Nomad should be another exciting addition to the MCU that continues the legacy of where it all began twelve years ago.
