The Dog-Faced Gremlin and one half of the legendary Steiner Brothers tag team, Rick Steiner, had his son, Bron Breakker, debut at NXT 2.0.
The relaunch of NXT was a big deal and WWE wanted to make sure it lived up to the hype. We got to see a Fatal 4 Way match for the NXT Championship along with a totally different look for NXT.

It was easy to miss the debut of a second generation wrestler, Bron Breakker. Breakker is the son of Rick Steiner. Steiner was most known for his tag work in the ‘80s through the ‘00s with his brother Scott as the Steiner Brothers. The pair won the WWF Tag Championships twice and the WCW Tag Championships seven times.
As time went on Scott started to stand out as a singles competitor and left his brother behind. Even though Rick put in solid work and won tag championships with other partners and singles championships his talent became forgotten. However, can Breakker redeem his dad’s legacy as a singles competitor and remind NXT, WWE and the world what a Steiner can do?
Bron Breakker Proved He Must Have Had A Better Than 50/50 Chance Of Winning
At the debut episode of NXT 2.0 Bron Breakker did show the world that he is a force to watch out for. Bron Breakker took on the former Million Dollar champion and top contender for the NXT Championship LA Knight. That wasn’t an easy task, but Breakker made it look easy as he imposed his will with overwhelming power and defeated Knight.

As NXT ended Bron Breakker congratulated the newly crowned NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa. Ciampa extended congratulations back to Breakker on his first win in NXT. It seemed like a nice and civil exchange as Ciampa extended his hand for a handshake, but it got real serious as Breakker’s face changed and began staring at the NXT Championship It looks like we may know the answer to who will be Ciampa’s first challenger for his NXT Championship.
Bron Breakker Must Be A Genetic Freak To Debut So Quickly
Breakker was signed to a WWE contract in February of this year. Later that month he began his training at the WWE Performance Center. He must have made quite the impression on the staff as he is already debuting on TV and for the debut of NXT 2.0 no less. WWE must have a lot of faith in him. Especially considering they may be putting him in the NXT Championship picture with his stardown with Ciampa.
I look forward to seeing what Breakker can do in the future. I always thought Rick Steiner never got the credit for being a pretty decent wrestler. Hopefully Breakker can make fans go back and watch old Steiner Brothers matches. Breakker looks just like his dad down to his facial hair he is almost Rick 2.0. Hopefully he has charisma because that was one of the things his dad lacked.
What did you think of Bron Breakker’s debut? Do you think he has a bright future in NXT or WWE? Do you have any favorite matches from his dad or the Steiner Brothers? Sit up in your Steiner Recliner and leave your thoughts on this second generation wrestler’s debut below or over on Twitter!
