Star Wars Celebration is only days away and approaching like it went into hyperspace. Fans from all around the world will gather at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California to gather, cosplay, and celebrate all things Star Wars. Not only is it the first Star Wars Celebration since 2019, as the others were canceled/delayed due to the pandemic, but day two will also mark the premiere of the long-awaited and highly-anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi series. Basically, starting Thursday, May 27, 2022, Star Wars fans will have more and more to celebrate as they cosplay, get their exclusives, and more and more news is dropped at Star Wars Celebration.
D23 Celebrates 35 Years of Star Tours Adventures at Star Wars Celebration
First announced at StarWars.com, D23 will be hosting a panel Live on the Galaxy stage on Day Two of Star Wars Celebration, Friday, May 27, 2022, celebrating 25 years of Disney’s original Star Wars Attraction, Star Tours!
“Lightspeed to Endor! Join D23: The Official Disney Fan Club as we celebrate Disney’s original Star Wars attraction – Star Tours! From the misadventures of Captain Rex (RX-24) to the unexpected new destinations of today, we trace the 35-year journey of this iconic and innovative ride with some of the talented Imagineers and filmmakers who have brought the Star Wars universe to life in Disney Parks!”

35 Years of Star Tours Adventures with D23 Panel Information, D23
As found on the Disneyland site, Star Tours was first brought to life on January 9, 1987, by George Lucas and Walt Disney Imagineering. Located in Tomorrowland, the original version of the ride blasted off to Endor. Since then numerous other destinations have been traveled to and in 2011 3D technology was added. The beloved attraction features state-of-the-art technology including a flight simulator, digital 3D video, Audio-Animatronics characters and “in-cockpit” special effects and music. The ride is suggested for kids, tweens, teens, and adults, and requires passengers be at least 40″ (102cm) tall.
