Flying into our hearts this Thanksgiving, Wicked the movie debuts its first trailer during the Super Bowl. Leaving viewers with their jaws dropped and feeling oz-tastic, this trailer has us saying one thing, “Popular, you’re going to be popular.”
The ultra-popular musical, Wicked, is finally being adapted into a big-screen movie at last. Based on the stage show that debuted in 2003 by Stephen Schwartz, itself based on the classic tale The Wizard of Oz, is coming as a major motion picture from filmmaker Jon M. Chu (In the Heights, Crazy Rich Asians). This week, Chu shared a first look at pictures from the upcoming live-action film via Twitter.
The long-awaited, highly anticipated film adaptation of the popular Broadway musical, Wicked, is getting a change in release dates. Director Jon M. Chu recently announced that the film is actually moving its release date up a month ahead of schedule.
