Eternals Set Photos 1st Look: Kitt Harrington’s Dane Whitman And Gemma Chan’s Sersi Revealed

We get our first look at Kit Harrington and Gemma Chan in character on the set of Marvel's Eternals.
Sersi and Black Knight Eternals

New set photos from Marvel Studios Eternals have surfaced online revealing Kitt Harrington as Dane Whitman and Gemma Chan as Sersi.

Production is underway for Marvel’s Eternals and speculation has been running rampant on the mysterious project. The film is directed by Chloe Zhao and stars Angelina Jolie (Maleficient), Richard Madden (Game of Thrones), Salma Hayek (Like A Boss), Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) , and Brian Tyree Henry (Joker), along with aforementioned Harrington and Chan.

This past week, Twitter user @BRMarvelNews managed to snap some photos from the on-location shoot. Take a look at Harrington and Chan in action:

The Eternals in the Flesh

Rumor has it that Harrington and Chan’s characters will embark in a romantic relationship in the film. Given that they are both wearing present-day clothing, we can assume that Whitman will be a descendant of the original Black Knight, just like in the comics. We have yet to see any pictures of Harrington in any kind of costume so we’re unsure if, or what, he’ll look like in his superhero armor. The other question these photos raise is if Sersi will be tied to her family lineage from the middle ages, or will she be… Eternal.

This leaked image comes to us from the UK where they have been shooting a lot of the film. There were earlier reports that Angelina Jolie, who will be playing Thena, recently shot in Oxford at the Museum of Natural History as well. Not much has been revealed about the story of the Eternals, but we do know this is the real start to Phase 4 of the MCU and it has a star-studded cast. If you are looking to know more about the characters that are kicking off Marvel Studio’s next phase then we recommend reading the Eternals run by Jack Kirby and the more recent run by Neil Gaiman.

The Eternals

Before the Eternals, we still have Black Widow, which is next up for Marvel Studios. Eternals hits theaters on November 6th, 2020.
