This April, the Bella Twins will officially be joining the WWE Hall Of Fame class of 2020.

Last week rumors started that the Bellas would finally be inducted into the HOF. It only took until this past Friday for the WWE to confirm the news with an official announcement on their website.

The Tale Of Two Bella Twins

The Bella Twins may be best known to most of the world for their non-wrestling work. Nikki and Brie Bella have been on the E! series Total Divas and Total Bellas. Also, Nikki was a contestant on Dancing With The Stars and is engaged to her dancing partner, Artem Chigvintsev. He is also the father of her soon-to-be-born child (so scandalous).

However, their in-ring career is long and storied. The pair started their WWE careers in 2008. Brie would wrestle and towards the end of the match she would run under the ring and come out refreshed. This went on for a while until one time she was caught and it was revealed that she has a twin, Nikki. The move became known as Twin Match. They were far from the first to do it, but it definitely became their calling card.

As the pair became more experienced, they started to make a name for themselves as talented wrestlers. In 2011, Brie won the Divas Championship for the first time. Not to be outdone, Nikki then won the championship the following year.

Nikki Makes A Name For Herself

As time went on, Nikki started to pull away as the better wrestler of the pair. Nikki’s greatest claim to fame is by far her 300-day Divas Championship reign. However, the impressive thing is that it’s the longest Divas Championship reign of all time.

To make it even more impressive is when you convert it to the Women’s Championship, she is the sixth longest reigning of all time. Nikki is only behind names like Fabulous Moolah, Trish Stratus, and Alundra Blayze.

The Twins Step Away From The Ring

In recent years, the pair have stepped out of the ring to focus on other things.  Brie has a daughter with Daniel Bryan and another baby on the way. Nikki had a very serious neck injury, which could have paralyzed her.  She spent a lot of time trying to get back in the ring and be able to wrestle again.

Nikki got cleared and wrestled a few matches with Ronda Rousey and others, but suffered another neck injury.  The pair also started a clothing line and started bottling wine.

The Bellas Are A Welcome Addition, But Is It Too Soon?

Even without the pair being seen in the ring in quite some time, their presence is still being felt. The Bellas were one of the people who built the bridge to the Women’s Revolution. They were there for the Divas era and saw it turn into the Women’s Revolution era.

Their fellow inductees this year will be the nWo, Batista, and possibility British Bulldog. The Bellas deserve to be in the Hall Of Fame, especially Nikki. However, I do think it is too early to have them inducted. They are not even 40 years old yet, and they’re certainly not dead.  In 10 years I’d be all for it, but not before people like Mickie James, Victoria and Molly Holly.

Do you think the Bella Twins should be inducted in the Hall Of Fame? Do you think it is too soon? Who are some other women you think should be inducted? I would have liked to see Chyna inducted as a solo entry. Triple H needs to get over the fact that she worked in the adult video industry. I want to see what you think, so be sure to let us know in the comments and on social media.
