It’s time to spin into action! Wonder Woman, the 1970’s hit television show starring Lynda Carter, is being released on Blu-ray for the first time.
With the unexpected delay of the next Wonder Woman feature film starring Gal Gadot, Wonder Woman 1984. WB Home Entertainment decided to give fans a treat straight from Themyscira to hold them over by releasing the original TV series on July 28th.
It seems like the timing was going to line up with the original release date of Wonder Woman 1984 before Covid-19 changed everything. That caused Warner Bros to think fast and act fast with the release of the classic series.

The series will follow a long tradition of DC Comics and WB’s home entertainment releases collaborations including classic TV shows such as Batman starring Adam West and Burt Ward and The Adventures Of Superman starring George Reeves. Wonder Woman The Series will have HD remastered versions of all the episodes. The series will also include the pilot movie that aired and will have commentary tracks with Lynda Carter herself.

The TV movie pilot, The New Original Wonder Woman, premiered on November 7, 1975 on ABC. The first season of the series, Wonder Woman, debuted February 16, 1977 on ABC. The second and third seasons of the series aired on CBS, with the final original episode premiering on September 11, 1979.
The Wonder Woman series starred Lynda Carter in the title role as both Wonder Woman and her alter ego, Diana Prince, Lyle Waggoner as Steve Trevor, and Debra Winger as Wonder Girl/Drusilla. First season regulars included Beatrice Colen as Etta Candy, and Richard Eastham as General Philip Blankenship. Noteworthy guest stars included such luminaries of the era as singer/actor Rick Springfield, Red Buttons, Roy Rogers, Roddy McDowall, Frank Gorshin, Celeste Holm, Martin Mull, Dick Gautier, Ron Ely, Gary Burghoff, Leif Garrett, Ed Begley Jr., Dick Van Patten, Eve Plumb, Philip Michael Thomas, Cloris Leachman, Gavin MacLeod, Carolyn Jones, Joan Van Ark, Robert Reed, Anne Francis, John Saxon and many more.
