With the cast and crew of Netflix’s The Witcher returning to production, series star Henry Cavill has shared a couple of exclusive images showcasing Geralt of Rivia’s brand new armour for this season. The hit series on the streaming platform is based off of the book series by Andrzej Sapkowski. However, many fans will know The Witcher from the critically acclaimed video-game series of the same name, most recently with the hit entry, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt by CD Projekt Red.

The made-for-streaming series follows the books much closer, however, and has enticed fans with its eight-episode first season last December. Henry Cavill stars as the illustrious Geralt of Rivia, who seeks to slay any monsters in his way. Fans have been craving for new information on the much-anticipated series, and have only just now gotten their first look at production stills of Geralt in his brand new armour.

Unlike his previous armour from Season 1, this season’s armour seems much more muscular and visibly armored than before. Whereas his previous suit was very streamlined and sleek, this armor is likely built to take hits much more than before. Which will likely be a good thing, if the threats that he faces in the upcoming season are even more dangerous and threatening than those he faced previously.
