Former Batman actor, Ben Affleck, had some kind words for Marvel Studios producer Kevin Feige recently, calling him the “greatest” and “most successful producer who’s ever lived.”
Before Ben Affleck joined the DCEU to debut as Batman, he also played Matt Murdock in the 2003 film Daredevil. Feige was a producer on the film at the time and worked with him on set before he went on to launch the MCU.

The actor recently went on THR Award Chatter Podcast to have a conversation about his career and expresses his praises for Feige as a producer.
Ben Affleck’s Marvel-ous History
While on the podcast, the Hollywood star shared his own opinion about working with the Marvel braintrust:
“Kevin Feige, who is the — [I] have to say — the greatest producer, most successful producer who’s ever lived. He’s the only guy in the world who if he told me like, ‘I know what the audience wants. This is what we’re doing,’ I would believe him 100%. That f**ker knows his audience like no producer – he’s a genius.
He’s like a master ringmaster. He knows exactly how much to wink at the audience, exactly when to pull at the heartstrings, exactly when to do VFX, how many jokes, what the sensibility, what the tone is. Because people didn’t know if they should run away from the pajamas or embrace it or make it serious.”
Ben Affleck is showering Feige with high praise considering he has worked with numerous producers, and is also a writer and director himself as well. It’s easy to remember a time where the only big Marvel superhero movies were Spiderman, X-Men, and Daredevil without much else to choose from.
No one imagined that seeing Iron Man or Captain America on the big screen together would translate so well into live-action. Even obscure comic book characters like the Guardians of the Galaxy, assumed to be Marvel’s first flop, ended up becoming fan favorites to the point where Disney transformed the Tower of Terror into a ride with a Guardians theme.
You have to give Feige credit for taking a risk on creating the Marvel Cinematic Universe and seeing the potential every character in Marvel has to offer. Some may disagree with Ben Affleck’s claim of Feige being the most successful producer of all time, especially if you are comparing the MCU’s success to the history of box offices dating back to Hollywood’s Golden Era. However, Feige has created a juggernaut movie franchise that audiences continue to crave more of even after more than a decade worth of constant content.
No other studio or producer have yet to successfully replicate Feige’s achievement in producing a coherent universe that keeps moviegoers hyped. He found the perfect balance to appeal to causal audiences while honoring the comic books for hardcore fans.
For some time, we speculated where the next phase of MCU will go now that the Infinity Saga has ended. Luckily after a year without a single MCU release, we’re starting off with WandaVision to filled that void as well as more shows and movies on its way later this year. Who knows, maybe Ben Affleck would want a role in the MCU in future projects and team up with Feige yet again.
