Who you gonna call? Ghostbusters!
We’ve got a brand new pic of a brand new character coming to Ghostbusters: Afterlife, simply named Muncher. Muncher was seen on a recent episode of Master Chef Junior Spain, where he appeared to have 6 arms and a subtle resemblance to the Ghostbusters franchise alumni Slimer.

As of right now, he is the only confirmed new character aside from those that appeared in the trailer.
Muncher’s Afterlife In Ghostbusters
Ghostbusters: Afterlife was announced back in December of 2019, set in the original film’s timeline, the film centers on:
“A single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”
As reported on by Geek Tyrant, the plot will have something to do with Ivo Shandor and the Cult of Gozer. Director Jason Reitman discuss the tone of the movie, saying that:
“The feeling that I’ve kind of held onto is that while it is very funny, it really scared me. It was really my first experience with a horror film. I was at a Directors Guild meeting and I happened to be sitting next to Steven Spielberg – when I told him I was working on Ghostbusters, he out of nowhere said, ‘Library Ghost – top ten scares of all time.’ And it’s true.”
Although there has been very little updates and information about the film aside from the setting, we know the film will star Carrie Coon, Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd – fresh off the afterglow of Avengers Endgame, as well as recently starring in and executive producing the Netflix original series Living With Yourself.
Also confirmed are Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver and Ernie Hudson are returning for the film. This will be the first time all four stars will be back on screen together as their respective characters. Although they were in the 2016 remake, they were casted as cameos. Ghostbusters: Afterlife is set to release in theaters November 11th.
