WWE plans on keeping Lacey Evans on TV for at least a little while during her pregnancy.
Evans announced this week on RAW she is pregnant. It was also announced Ric Flair is the father. This is where the storyline meshes with real life. Knowing Flair it wouldn’t be surprising if he did get someone much younger than himself pregnant, but is Evans really pregnant?Â
The answer is yes Lacey Evans is pregnant, but not with Flair’s baby. This will be Evans’ second child. She already has a young girl.

According to Ringside News, WWE is planning on keeping Lacey Evans on TV for at least the next few months. Eventually it will be too hard for her to work at WWE while pregnant and she will stay at home to get ready for her baby. However, this could all change and Evans could be off TV next week or be on TV almost her entire pregnancy.
Pregnant Lacey Evans Vs Charlotte Flair?
As it stands right now, WWE wants her on TV to continue her feud with Charlotte. This obviously won’t lead up to a match at WrestleMania or a match at all anytime soon, because Lacey Evans can’t wrestle for at least the next nine months.
This makes wrapping up their feud particularly troublesome. Feuds always end with some kind of match. Eventually Evans will have to leave TV and WWE needs to give a reason. Perhaps an I Quit match with Charlotte vs a representative of Evans. Ringside News says WWE doesn’t have any particular direction in mind for Evans’ storyline.

Just to make things more interesting, or complicated, this Sunday is Elimination Chamber. The RAW Women’s Championship match is the champion Asuka vs Evans. Obviously Evans can’t wrestle, so who is taking her place? Since they didn’t announce anything on RAW either they will cancel the match and replace it with a SmackDown match. Asuka will be facing someone from SmackDown or it will be a mystery opponent which will be announced at the PPV.
Plan B For The Asuka Match
There are literally only four matches on the card and only one was a women’s match. Therefore I really doubt the match will be scrapped. It also means all the women on the roster and NXT’s are available to face Asuka. Personally I would like to see Io Shirai or Rhea Ripley. However, I think the best choice would be Alexa Bliss. Â
Bliss and Asuka have had some interactions lately with Bliss giving a Sister Abigail to Asuka. If Bliss wins the RAW Women’s Championship it gives her instant credibility and would give her a giant push. What WWE has done with Bliss has been great, but a championship around her waist would really add a lot to her character.
We here at The Illuminerdi would like to wish Lacey Evans and her husband congratulations on the pregnancy.
What do you think will happen to the Asuka match? Who would you like to see face Asuka at Elimination Chamber? What do you think of WWE continuing the Evans and Flair feud while Evans is pregnant?
