[Update: Variety has confirmed our following report.]
Lost aficionados rejoice! The Illuminerdi has received intel from our sources that Josh Holloway is set to star in an upcoming HBO Max series, tentatively titled Duster, to be helmed by JJ Abrams.
Back in the fall of 2019, producer/director JJ Abrams and his production company Bad Robot signed a 5-year exclusivity deal with WarnerMedia. One of the commitments is Abrams is currently developing three new shows for HBO Max: Justice League Dark, Overlook, and Duster.
Josh Holloway To Lead JJ Abrams’ Duster
We at The Illuminerdi have been alerted that Josh Holloway, most notably known for his role of Sawyer on Lost, is set to star in Abram’s Duster series for the streaming platform.
Duster will follow the life of a gutsy getaway driver for a growing crime syndicate, who goes from awful to wildly, stupidly, dangerously awful in 1970s Southwestern America.
LaToya Morgan (Parenthood, The Walking Dead) is co-writing the series alongside Abrams.
What do you guys think of this Duster news? Are you a fan of Josh Holloway? JJ Abrams has a history of re-teaming with his former actors so hopefully this one is a hit! Let us know in the comment section below or over on Twitter!
