Gabriel Luna Takes A New Step
Gabriel Luna recently started as the antagonist of 2019’s Terminator: Dark Fate, but he is well known for his role in the Marvel ABC series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. in which he played as Robbie Reyes or Ghost Rider himself.
The Last of Us was developed by Naughty Dog exclusively for PlayStation platforms and that is set in a post-apocalyptic near future in which a fungal pandemic turned most of humanity into fungi-like zombies that decimated civilization. After losing his daughter in the outbreak, you play as Joel Miller, a man who lost everything he valued in life became a black-market smuggler. He is then hired to protect and smuggle a 14-year-old girl named Ellie out of a quarantine zone who happens to be immune to the disease and she may be the key to humanity’s survival.
The HBO series has been in development since march of last year with the studio moving forward with the series order back in November. The series’ pilot will be directed by Kantemir Balagov along with Chernobyl creator and writer Craig Mazin. Also joining is the video game creator Neil Druckmann who will serve as writer and executive producer.
Druckmann stated that the HBO series will be a retelling of the events of the story from the first game with some episodes that will differ from the original game. At this time, there is no official set date to when the series will be released as they are set to begin filming this summer.
