The Flash: Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan STILL Want Flashpoint Batman and Joker In The DCEU

In an interview with Brandon Davis (ComicBook.com), Batman v Superman actors Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan quickly cut to the chase about their interest in playing the “Flashpoint” version of Thomas and Martha Wayne in a future DCEU movie.

After playing the characters in BvS, there were long-lasting rumors of a Flashpoint movie featuring Morgan as a murderous Thomas Wayne Batman and Cohan as a loony Martha Wayne Joker, both twisted beyond repair after their son Bruce is shot in Crime Alley as a child.

Morgan and Cohan Share Their Desires to Play the Flashpoint Versions of Their Characters

Given the behind-the-scenes chaos with getting The Flash movie off the ground, the rumors eventually quieted down as the story evolved into something different. Nonetheless, the actors seem positively enthusiastic about reprising their roles for a future film. Here’s what they had to say when asked recently:

Cohan: “I would love [to do that]. Let it be said and known and documented. We both would love for this to happen.”

Morgan: “Lauren and I have talked about that for years…. I’d love to see her version come on. You never know. It’s true. You really never know with DC in particular, but everything is so kind of complicated within the Snyder-verse of it all, unfortunately. But Lauren and I have made it clear and we’re doing it again now.

I think it was something that we still can giggle about and say, well, look where we started as a married couple that had a rough ending. I think people forget that Lauren and I have known each other for a long time and did get a chance to work together before, and also kind of just missed crossing paths on Supernatural. So we’ve got kind of this history together on screen prior to The Walking Dead. And of course, this is what we’ll be remembered for.”
