Even with Marvel Studios having plenty to celebrate with releases in theaters and on Disney+, there’s the ever-looming presence of Spider-Man: No Way Home that’s taken the comic book movie universe by storm through most of 2021. This movie was already set to be a big one even when the story was largely about Peter Parker’s identity reveal, and then the reported multiversal madness began making its way through the news stream.
The hype hit a fever pitch when Marvel fans finally got the movie’s first trailer at the end of August, which confirmed many of those rumors about the plot and teased events nobody had thought of up to that point. With Doctor Strange possibly tearing the multiverse apart and the movie bringing at least five past Spidey villains into play (likely forming most of a Sinister Six), the stage is set for arguably the biggest solo superhero movie in history.
Along with the trailer, Marvel and Sony are hard at work pushing No Way Home‘s promotional tour to full speed with merchandise and collectible items to get fans even more excited for the film’s release. A new addition to this tour was just revealed on Twitter that comes with a deliciously sweet snack.
Spider-Man: No Way Home And Skittles Meet In The Multiverse
Twitter user @denkarasik shared a picture of a Skittles pack with a bar code for a new game connected to Spider-Man: No Way Home. Currently, this game is only available in Russia, although there’s a chance it could come to other countries across the world as well.
The Spider-Man: No Way Home Skittles’ game shows Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in his new integrated red-and-gold suit as he tries to catch Skittles with his skills and tech. Additionally, there is a message in the game that reads as follows:
“ATTENTION!
URGENT A MESSAGE FOR THE AUDIENCE!
The identity of Spider-Man has been established. If it is detected, please contact the cinema staff!”
This game is clearly playing off the “on-the-run” plot that’s been teased as a part of this threequel’s overarching story, especially after it had so much focus in the movie’s first trailer. It will be interesting to find out both when this game makes its way into more countries and what else Marvel and Sony have in store with promotional material like this.
