Murderville pairs Will Arnett’s with a new celebrity guest every episode as they attempt to solve a murder in Netflix’s upcoming series.

Netflix is bringing the thrill of a mystery, the immaculate thorough dedication to character that only Will Arnett brings, and the unpredictable comedy explosion of Arnett in character and a celebrity guest in Murderville. The premise of the series is bold and just sounds hilarious. Will Arnett plays Terry Seattle, a senior detective who has to solve a murder with a clueless celebrity guest every episode. Each episode ensures new mysteries and new hilarious interactions between Arnett’s Seattle and the celebrities who are likely playing themselves.

The first six guest detectives of the series are Annie Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch, Sharon Stone. While I am not aware of Marshawn Lynch’s improv experience, I am well aware of his interviews, guest spots on television, and how he behaves in videos. Somehow, Lynch beats out the rest as my most anticipated episode. His pure excitement to be a part of the projects he’s on, and genuine and animated reactions combined with Arnett’s comedic guidance are sure to be comedy gold.

Murderville First Look Photos

Some, the first look photos are able to tease the hilarity of the series without actually giving us any information. I’m not sure if it’s the knowledge of the guests, Arnett’s facial expressions, or the magic the photographer captured, but it is coming through the images. The only downside, which is not downside but more of a future opportunity, is that we didn’t get a trailer. Otherwise, I’m currently creating a wishlist of celebrity detectives for Season 2.

Murderville releases its 6-episode first season on February 3, 2022, on Netflix.

Synopsis and Series Info

Meet Senior Detective Terry Seattle (Will Arnett), Homicide Division. For Terry, every day means a new murder case and a new celebrity guest star as his partner. But here’s the catch: each episode’s guest star isn’t being given the script. They have no idea what’s about to happen to them. Together, the guest star and Terry Seattle will have to improvise their way through the case… but it will be up to each celebrity guest alone to name the killer.

Join them as they punch a one-way ticket to Murderville. The six-episode procedural crime comedy premieres globally on Netflix on February 3. Based off the BAFTA award winning BBC3 series Murder in Successville by Tiger Aspect Productions and Shiny Button Productions.

Celebrity Guest Stars: Annie Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Ken Jeong, Kumail Nanjiani, Marshawn Lynch, Sharon Stone

Professional Nerd | Amateur Human | Creative/Content Director The best way to describe Kevin Fenix is the kid you never tell what the buttons do in video games so you have a chance to win. Being 6’ 4” and Asian, he never really fit in, so he got comfortable standing out. Not only is it easy to find him in crowds, he dabbles in the culinary arts, does a little stand up and improv, and can honestly say Spider-Man is the Jesus-like influence of his life. Kevin Fenix loves dogs, movies, television, comics, comedy, and to shoot people… with video.
