The latest toy wave debuts the first look at the Robo and Zords featured in Avataro Sentai Donbrothers.
This will be the Zords featured after the Don Zenkai Oh, which was released in Zenkaiger. The new Robo is the Avataro form of Don Momotaro and also includes a Zord that represents the 38th Sentai series, Tokkyuger. Both are part of a new Change Hero line, which features new Zords and Ranger figures.

Much like Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger, the 46th sentai series will feature a new form of Sentai Gears and include past Sentai representation. Whereas the 45th sentai series was focused on the combined Robo, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers will have specific Zords being used as artillery mechs to combine with the new team.
The Donbrothers team is themed after the folktale of Momotaro, with each Ranger based on a starring character. Each Ranger will also have their own Alter form that allows them to become a Zord themselves using special Avataro Gears. So far, only Don Momotaro has had his mech form revealed in this latest wave preview.
The First Wave Of New Zords For Avataro Sentai Donbrothers
The two alter forms released in the next wave include Change Hero Don Momotaro and a Tokkyuger Alter, representing a Zord from the 37th Sentai. Here are the two new Zords for Donbrothers as toy releases.
Don Momotaro Alter
First, the new Alter form is shown for Don Momotaro, who seems to have a peach form and a warrior form. This is the first Ranger of the new team to debut with an Alter form.
As seen in his bio, it appears he is still a swordsman in his Alter form. The appearance is a lot like a design from Kamen Rider Gaim, including the Samurai armor that both the Rider series and Momotaro tale have in common. The peach form is an interesting addition that also seems much like the Zords featured in Samurai Sentai Shinkenger, but the feet being completely green does look out of place when in its warrior form.
Don Momotaro Alter also comes with a new type of Avataro Gear, which confirms that each of the new Ranger Gears only allows them to morph into Rangers. This new version of the Gear is what is used to change into the Alter form and likely to form Robo combinations of the series.
Tokkyuger Alter
The first in the line of new Sentai Representation in the form of mecha. This time, Zords from past Sentai shows are highlighted and function as artillery mechs to combine with the Donbrothers team. Here are the image of the Tokkyuger Alter with its Avataro Gear.
Ressha Sentai Tokkyuger is the first to appear as an Alter, with Red Ressha being the basis for the Zord. The Zord also comes with a new Tokkyuger Avataro Gear in the release, which seems to be the design for Zord-linked Gears much like the Gear with Don Momotaro Alter.

Red Ressha was certainly the best choice to represent the Express Sentai team. The design is certainly the most recognized from the show and even includes the Crossing barrier as one of the carts. This was previously seen as a sword weapon for TokQ-Oh and will form a weapon in this new design when combined, as seen in the box art that features the new combination.
Donbrothers: First new combination
The first two Alter forms can combine without the other Rangers of the team. Here is the formation that combines Don Momotaro Alter with Tokkyuger Alter.
The combination seems more like an odd-tank rather than the type of Robo that fans are used to. However, it has been rumored that all Alter forms of the Rangers are comparable to Zenryoku Zenkai Oh. This means that the main Robo of the show may be slower to debut, but hopefully, the unified Rangers can still combine with the Tokkyuger Alter and others.
A pack has also been revealed to include both Don Momotaro Alter and Tokkyuger Alter.
The pack also shows the labels 01 and 02, suggesting that these are not only the first but are a main feature of the 46th Sentai. This suggests that the Don Zenkai Oh may eventually be made obsolete in the new line-up, which makes sense as it is a Robo released between Zenkaiger and Donbrothers.
As a result of the new Gears in the toy releases, we now will be able to uncover what Sentai teams will be getting Zords for representation within Donbrothers. It was previously hinted in a thumbnail that these selected teams will include Sentai shows from the 35th series onwards.
New Gear Sets Tease New Zords
The following Gears sets include a combination of Avataro Gears, including the variants that Summon Alter forms. These new sets are the following.
Thanks to these sets, we now have an idea of which Sentai teams will certainly get an Alter form. This also gives fans an idea of when they might debut, since the order of the sets may suggest what could follow after Tokkyuger Alter’s premiere in the TV show. From the selection, we can see that both Kyuranger and Kirameiger will likely get Zords in the near future.
All Avataro gears are compatible with the Don Blaster, which can activate different sounds depending on the gear used. This includes the use of Avataro Sentai Gears that feature the morph call of the respective team. The new Changer also includes a spin feature for the Avataro Gears that makes the muzzle of the Morpher move back and forth.
Also part of the set is the four Kikainoid Rangers from Zenkaiger, Zenkai Juran, Zenkai Magine, Zenkai Gaon, and Zenkai Vroon. These will also be able to combine with the Zords as part of the Change Hero series, but this will not include Zenkaizer and Twokaizer with Ohren and Shinken form Set.
It’s so exciting to see this new line-up of Robo in Donbrothers, especially since Zords will be highlighted. This is different from Zenkaiger, as the Rangers were designed based on the Megazords that the Zords combined into. As the catalog was released before, fans know that ZyuOhger will be the next Alter Zord being released, which will likely include sets of Ranger Alters in the wave too. It won’t be long until we start seeing the first images of these releases too.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers‘ Change Hero Don Momotaro Alter and Tokkyuger Alter toys will be released on March 5th and will be sold separately. The set with both will also be available the same day and will include both Avataro Gears.
