The fifth installment of everyone’s favorite legendary archaeologist, Indiana Jones 5, has finished production.
Indiana Jones is one of cinema’s iconic franchises. The first film in the franchise, Raiders Of The Lost Ark, won numerous awards and a box office success and led to three more movie sequels, a highly successful TV series, comic books, novels, video games and merchandise.

The success of Indiana Jones would not have been possible with veteran Hollywood star Harrison Ford, who has portrayed the famous archaeologist in all of the films thus far. The actor will once again be reprising his role as Indiana Jones in the upcoming fifth film, though fans may be unhappy that it will be the last.
Indiana Jones’ Fifth and Final Theatrical Adventure Has Finally Wrap Production
The development of the fifth untitled film in the franchise has endured multiple setbacks during pre-production and filming. However, producer John Marshall has given us great news regarding the film’s status. Marshall revealed that Indiana Jones 5 had finished production on his official Twitter account.
The Twitter post showed a picture of a crew hat with a logo saying Indy. His friends and allies sometimes referred to jones as Indy or Dr. Jones in the films.
Once the highly-anticipated film releases, fans might need to savor it, as it might be the last time Ford plays Indy. Disney and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy revealed that the fifth installment would be the final Indiana Jones film. With them stating that the fifth installment would end the character’s journey. However, according to producer Steven Spielberg, the franchise will continue after the fifth film.
Indiana Jones 5 has been scheduled to premiere on June 30th, 2022. The fifth installment will star Harrison Ford, reprising his iconic role as Indy. The film will also star Phoebe Waller-Bridge as the female lead. The upcoming movie will also feature an all-star supporting cast.
That supporting cast includes Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas, Thomas Kretschmann, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, and Oliver Richters. Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Simon Emanuel, and Kathleen Kennedy will serve as producers. Jez Butterworth, John-Henry Butterworth, and James Mangold will serve as writers. Phedon Papamicheal will do cinematography. Legendary composer John Williams will compose the film’s music. Then finally, the film will also be directed by James Mangold.
