The long-awaited sequel of the world’s most beloved movie franchise, Cliff Beasts, has been scrapped. Yes, Cliff Beasts 5, was questionable, but overall the franchise was magnificent. On Wednesday, March 2, 2022, Netflix dropped the official teaser for Cliff Beasts 6. And minus a few billion views, was like literally most-watched teaser trailer of all time. The world was abuzz with anticipation. It was the exact opposite feeling of the actual world situation. There was The Bubble of hope and joy. Watch the teaser one more time to feel good about life again:

Pure excellence. Flawless. No notes. Cliff Beasts 6 looks to be bringing the franchise back and better than ever. A truly glorious feat of filmmaking. The teams behind the film realized how space was a bit of a stretch, and brought the film back down to Earth but still in the heavens by setting the film on Mt. Everest. Plus they bring back everyone! Obviously, they don’t explain it in the trailer, also kind of wish they didn’t show it in the trailer, let the reveal in the film burst The Bubble. But the question does create anticipation. We do get a hint in the Cliff Beasts featurette though.

Cliff Beasts: The Ultimate Retrospective

The dedication and excitement of the cast are palpable. It is obvious many would have been nominated for academy awards. But alas, twas not the case. That April 1, release date should have been a giveaway. there’s no way Netflix would release this obvious contender for the greatest film of all time before Memorial Day. Too many children would be skipping school to watch it. Today Netflix has popped The Bubble and released this trailer:

The Bubble is the actual movie being promoted. Netflix sent me the e-mail this morning,

SORRY TO BURST YOUR BUBBLE*

*You were probably wondering: What the heck is Cliff Beasts and why have I never heard of this franchise? THE BUBBLE follows the making of Cliff Beasts 6: Battle for Everest: Memories of a Requim, the sixth installment of the “23rd largest Dino franchise ever”.

The Bubble is Judd Apatow’s latest film about a group of actors stuck inside a pandemic bubble at a hotel while they attempt to complete the sequel to the greatest film franchise to never exist. The past few days have been genius marketing on Netflix and the film’s behalf to promote the movie being made within the movie. The meta nature of the advertising, the quality of the assets, and the dedication of the cast in the promotion point to a truly epic comedy.

While Cliff Beasts 6 will only live on in our dreams, for now, The Bubble will tell the story of the making of the film in what has got to be one of the most difficult and stressful situations. If the incredible lead-up with the Cliff Beasts stuff didn’t sell it, the “sweet eyes” bit in the trailer should have won everyone over. The all-star cast, that Judd Apatow brand of humor, surprisingly great CG to be used as a joke, the film has everything we could want in a comedy. But if that’s not enough, check out the film stills below.
