Corey Graves reveals who he would love to face at WrestleMania: Seth Rollins.
Graves was recently a guest on 100.7 Star On-Demand where he talked about getting cleared to wrestle and who he would like to face at WrestleMania if he got to choose.
“I would say, right now, Seth Rollins,” Corey Graves said. “Rollins just, because he’s a guy I always had great chemistry with, in the ring in NXT. But he has just continued to get better, and better, and better, and is doing some of the best work of his career right now. And while he may not be, you know, WWE Champion, what he brings every night in this new persona with the dancing and he’s so obnoxious. And he gets under everybody’s skin. I love what Rollins is doing. I would love to mix it up with him one more time.” H/T To Wrestling Inc. For Transcription
Seth Rollins Vs Corey Graves Could Be Interesting
Rollins has definitely found a groove and is riding it very well. He is so annoying and gets under everyone’s skin which is great heel work. His in-ring work isn’t my favorite from him, but is very solid. Also him and Kevin Owens teaming up is just a match made in Heaven. They play off each other so well and I hope WWE gives them a good push so we can see how far they can go with it.

Rollins is also one of the best talkers in WWE at the moment, but Graves is also very good on the mic as well. However, Graves has spent the last few years in the commentary booth and cutting promos in the ring is a bit different. I would love to see them cut promos against each other because I think it would be very entertaining.
Having Rollins as his first feud against is a pretty good choice because Rollins is a pretty safe worker and is experienced enough to carry Graves a bit if he needs to. The only thing which may be a problem is that they are both heels. They are both so good at being heels too I don’t want either of them to switch to a babyface. So if it does happen it may be a heel vs heel match.
Why Graves Wanted To Get Cleared To Wrestle
The only reason this match could possibly happen is because Corey Graves recently got cleared to wrestle by WWE. While in NXT Graves received two serious concussions back-to-back and it ended his wrestling career for what looked like forever at the time. Luckily Graves was put in the commentary booth and has excelled there.

Graves reveals the reason he decided to see a doctor and try to get medically cleared to compete was because he wanted a new challenge.
“I needed a new challenge. I needed something else,” Corey Graves said. “So I started wondering, you know, ‘what if? What if I’m not as messed up as I thought I was?’ Or, and I’m totally messed up. It has nothing to do with the physical. But, and again, WWE did it from a precautionary standpoint. Not, it wasn’t that I was so messed up. It was that, ‘at this rate, you’re going to be messed up.’
So they stopped that, but I went and saw some doctors, I went down to Florida. Saw some doctors here in Pittsburgh and they gave me a clean bill of health and basically said I’m medically cleared. Not saying they suggest or they recommend, but I can likely get through a match without, you know, ending up with serious damage.”
It is really inspiring to hear stories like this where wrestlers get injured and are told getting back in the ring will never happen. Corey Graves is just the next in line to get medically cleared after a long hiatus like Bryan Danielson, Edge and Christian before him. Hopefully Graves will have as much success as they did, once or if he does indeed return to the ring.
Would you like to see Corey Graves vs Rollins at WrestleMania? Do you think the pair will have a good feud? Let us know in the comments and on social media if you think Graves should start as a singles competitor or as a tag team wrestler first as he is a former NXT Tag Team champion.
