OTHER FUN CAMEOS IN DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS
CHARLIZE THERON AS CLEA
Another major cameo was the introduction of Clea played by Charlize Theron in the mid-credit scene. Clea has an interesting history with Doctor Strange in the comics with the two being romantically linked. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness opened the door for the pair to explore this relationship with Strange and Christine’s romance being put to bed. However, that isn’t the biggest part of Clea’s introduction.
At the end of Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Clea told Strange that his actions caused an Incursion and the pair jump into what looks like the Dark Dimension, Clea’s home in the comics. Clea’s arrival is likely setting a major story in motion for the MCU potentially Secret Wars which many fans have theorized could be the next major Marvel Endgame level event.
RINTHRAH
Rinthrah was a fun character to see brought into the MCU especially for comic book fans. Rinthrah is an ally of Doctor Strange in the comics and proved himself to be in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness as well. Rinthrah was also one of the sorcerers to survive Wanda’s attack on Kamar-Taj so the green minotaur could return in future MCU stories.
BRUCE CAMPBELL
Not a major Marvel cameo, but will without question be a fan favorite none the less. Bruce Campbell has been a part of Sam Raimi superhero movies since Spider-Man in which he played the ring announcer. And now, he makes another hilarious cameo this time in Sam Raimi’s MCU debut. Campbell plays an irritated food cart owner who confronts Doctor Strange only for the sorcerer to use magic to turn the man’s attack back on himself. Fans of Raimi and Campbell will appreciate the short comedic appearance and fans the Evil Dead franchise will love the post credit scene that features Campbell.
A Few honorable mentions include Wanda’s sons from WandaVision, Billy and Tommy. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness featured alternate versions of the pair on Earth 838 along with an alternate Wanda. The monster that Strange and Wong defeated to save America Chavez was likely Gargantos which the Scarlet Witch summoned to retrieve America.
A few Eagle eye fans seemed to spot what could be the Living Tribunal while America was falling through the universes as well. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness featured some truly spectacular cameos and while The Illuminati was a definite highlight their tenure was cut short with a truly brutal end. It will be interesting to see if any of these actors reprise their role either on Earth 616 or in another multiversal adventure.
