Kamen Rider Geats Desire Driver has been fully revealed, including the first live-action debut in the TV series. The Henshin belt of the latest installment in the Kamen Rider franchise has also been shown during Power Morphicon 2022, where fans got the first look at the toy release at the event. The gimmick of the belt allows various combinations with items relating to new forms and weapons, including a quick switch function that rotates the used attachments between top and bottom halves. Here is a full look at the Desire Driver and all releases so far linked to it for Kamen Rider Geats.
The Desire Driver is the main belt used by the Kamen Riders of the series in Kamen Rider Geats, which is named after the goal granted by winning the Desire Grand Prix. The Riders of the series participate in a game similar to a battle Royale video game, which includes loot boxes containing the belt for new Riders and various Raise buckles that access weapons and powers. The new Driver allows these Raise buckles to access armor that covers the upper body or below the waist depending on which slot they are placed on the henshin device.

The new henshin belt featured in the show is a two-input device that allows a Rider to insert two Raise buckles for their Rider form. The design is similar to both Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider Build, which both use two transformation items to change half their body separately for different armor and abilities. In Kamen Rider Geats, this includes abilities with partial/full armor and weapons based on the inserted buckle, including large-sized Personal Raise Buckles and small-sized Weapon Raise Buckles. Personal Raise Buckles
- Magnum Raise Buckle – Grants access to Magnum Shooter 40X – One of the personal Raise Buckles of Geats
- Boost Raise Buckle – Grants access to motorcycle, Boostriker – One of the personal Raise Buckles of Geats
- Zombie Raise Buckle – Grants access to Zombie Breaker – Personal Raise Buckle of Kamen Rider Buffa
- (Recently teased online) Ninja Raise Buckle – Grants access to Ninja Dueler (Bow/Blade weapon) – Personal Raise Buckle of Kamen Rider Tycoon
Weapon Raise Buckles
- Arrow Raise Buckle – A Raise Weapon item – Grants any Rider access to Raise Arrow when used
- Hammer Raise Buckle – A Raise Weapon item – Grants any Rider access to Raise Hammer when used
- Water Raise Buckle – A Raise Weapon item – Grants any Rider access to Raise Water when used
- Sheild Raise Buckle – A Raise Weapon item – Grants any Rider access to Raise Sheild when used
The fact there are two types of buckles adds a great mix of possibilities, including being able to switch from top to bottom half by simply rotating the belt. Each Raise Buckle also has an interesting way of activating, which is very similar to the Astro Switches in Kamen Rider Fourze. It’s also curious there are basic weapons Buckles that are commonly used and the Rarer Raise Buckles that grant stronger items and abilities with full-covering armor. This is much like the rarity ranks seen in many Battle Royale games and it will be exciting to see what else will release and debut.

Many Buckles are expected to be released, including Raise Buckles for the other Riders featured in the show. In addition to these, there are also Legend Rider Raise Buckles, which are similar in size to Weapon Raise Buckles. These are based on past Kamen Rider Belts for their design and unlock power and items relating to past Riders. This includes the previous series, Kamen Rider Revice, which gives his personal weapon to the user. Here are a few of the known buckles for Legend Riders.

It will be exciting to see all Raise Buckles that will be released as the show progresses, especially to find out what Rider forms will look like when they start finding their personal Raise Buckles. So far, only Kamen Rider Geats has a full armor form by using the Magnum and Boost Raise Buckles, the other Rider that gets these complete forms may depend on which survives the longest. It will also be exciting to find out what the super mode power-up items will be which usually appear halfway through the series.
It will also be interesting to see what other weapons and full-armor Raise Buckles will appear as there are many already discovered by tinkering with the Desire Driver toy for sounds and effects. It won’t be long before more are revealed, as seen with the Ninja Raise Buckle. It is uncertain if the Legend Rider Buckles will be used in the main scenes, but would be an interesting addition as they may come with armor and various weapons depending on the Rider represented.
Kamen Rider Geats is currently airing in Japan, with episodes released every Sunday. There is no current way to officially watch the series outside Japan but the toy line for Desire Driver Belt and Raise Buckles are currently available at favorite Tokusatsu stores, with more releases to debut as the show progresses.
