POWER RANGERS COSMIC FURY CAST SHOWCASE THEIR NEW GEAR

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury will see the return of the six Rangers of the Dino Fury series as they are upgraded for their new space adventure. The show will debut the first full-time, female Red Ranger as Amelia (Hunter Deno) transfers from her pink Ranger form and Zayto (Russell Curry) becomes the Zenith Ranger, instead of returning as his white Ranger form seen in the Season 2 finale. Joining them will be Javi (Chance Perez), Izzy (Tessa Rao), Aiyon (Jordon T. Fite), and Ollie (Kai Moya), who will be keeping their colors from the previous season, with all the Rangers keeping their original Dino-themed motifs.

The Ranger actors participated in a photo shoot for the upcoming series, with star Hunter Deno yet to post images on social media. The posts have given fans a full look at each of the cast members in their Cosmic Fury Ranger forms, with two weapons revealed. Previously, Tessa Rao had shared the first look at her Tiger Claw Daggers for Cosmic Fury in her story, but now the weapons for Cosmic Fury Black and Blue have also been revealed. The team has also granted fans a full look at the new designs, along with some of the helmets previously hidden in the background of the recent reveal video.

The suits look fantastic in full view and are a perfect recreation of the concept art seen during the livestreams from Hasbro Pulse. The lighting for the suits highlights how amazing they will be in the upcoming series since the low and direct light for space scenes will be perfect for them. The details also look even more defined as a result and show how balanced the design really is. Fans will have to wait before they can finally see the Rangers in their helmets as the team is ensuring they do not spoil the full reveal too soon.

The Tricera Blaster for the Blue Ranger is very compact, but the design makes it look powerful. The Stego Axe for the Black Ranger is much larger and is even shown in incorporating Javi’s love of music. The unique, gold-plated armor on his right arm also appears to be a significant addition, with many fans thinking that the Ranger could have been damaged. This would explain the addition and add extra story for fans to enjoy in upcoming episodes. The details on both weapons are a perfect fit for the new theme but still integrates the dino motifs well. It will be fantastic to see them in action and allow fans a closer look soon.

MORPHER FEATURES AND HIDDEN MATERIALS

Kai Moya also posted another image on his social media for the Cosmic Fury suit, which gives fans a clearer look at the new Morpher. This includes the reveal of buttons along the snout of the Dino head, which may be a major feature for the expected toy. The image of the suit also reveals a reflective material that mirrors the armor on the right side of the body. This was not possible to see before due to the lighting and positioning of the suits seen in the various images and videos for the Rangers.

The Power Rangers Cosmic Fury Morpher still hides many mysteries regarding its use and fans are eager to find out how it works for the series. The Buttons will add some delight to fans who love features on their toys, since they will likely activate an array of lights and sounds for the anticipated release. The reflective decoration that mimics the armor on the side of the Ranger is a well-hidden feature of the suit. After seeing this image, it is easier to notice the addition on other images, which improves the overall look of the team. It will be interesting to see how well this detail is presented during the scenes for the new series.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury will release the first 10 episodes of the new series in 2023 via Netflix. The release date has yet to be announced as focus is on the 30th anniversary special, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. More news is expected when the special is released on April 19, 2023, worldwide.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
